Approval of the class secretary is required for an event to be 'class-sanctioned'. This approval is subject to a review of an event plan, and an undertaking by the host club to conduct the event in accordance with the class-sanctioned event hosting guidelines. If your club or fleet wants to host an Open, Regional or National Championship Regatta - please complete the event host questionaire and submit to the class secretary no later than three months before the planned event date. AMYA Chevrons can only be awarded if the event is 'class-sanctioned'. The event host questionmaire:
- Is submitted by event manager from the host club to the class secretary
- Is a commitment to meet minimum requirements identified in by event hosting guideline.
- Requests specifics of the proposed event, including:
- Event host club and AMYA affiliation.
- Event host staff contact information for:
- Event manager or club commodore;
- Registrar/treasurer;
- Event measurer
- Race director and support staff.
- Event manager or club commodore;
- Event specifics:
- Event date(s);
- Identification of sailing site;
- Shore-side facilities;
- Local accommodations; and
- Social events / arrangements.
- Event date(s);
- Event host club and AMYA affiliation.

describes minimum standards for ‘class-sanctioned’ check-in of boats.

describes how to conduct multi-heat events, how to promote and relegate boats between fleets,
and how to score the event (matrix-format events are no longer ‘class-sanctioned’).
Recommended Sail Numbering (Amendment to RRS E6)
describes how sail numbers are to be applied to sails.
