Class Association
The Soling One Meter class is managed by an AMYA Class Secretary and an appointed Class Advisory Council (CAC). Membership in the Class Association comes with membership in AMYA and the registration of a Soling One Meter with the Class Secretary. Only active AMYA members who are owners of yachts registered in the class may submit motions regarding class rules; submit nominations for Class Secretary; and vote on these or other matters affecting the class.
Class Secretary (CS)
The Class Secretary is elected by the membership of AMYA who report that they own and have registered a Soling One Meter class boat. The Class Secretary normally serves a two year term. The Class Secretary is responsible for: handling boat registrations and transfers and collecting required fees; providing an accounting of class funds and expenditures for publication in Model Yachting; maintaining a current set of Class Rules and a roster of registered boats; submitting all changes to the Class Rules to the AMYA Executive Secretary as soon as possible after approval by the registered owners; ensuring that a National Championship Regatta and Regional Championship Regattas are held annually or at other regular intervals provided sufficient numbers of registered yachts are able to participate.

Class Advisory Council (CAC)
The CAC is a group of volunteers who, under the direction of the Class Secretary, builds consensus and directs the administration and interpretation of the Class Rules. The CAC assists with the promotion and development of the Soling One Meter class and radio-controlled model yachting (sailboat racing). The CAC normally includes the past and current CS, last year’s National Class Regatta (NCR) winner, and a designated representative of the kit manufacturer, Victor Model Products. Additional members are included at the discretion and by invitation of the Class Secretary. A member of the CAC is a current AMYA-member who owns and sails a Soling One Meter. The CAC is representative of (i) the Class Membership, (ii) regions where the boat is sailed, and (iii) contributors to the hobby/sport. Members are selected for their role as (a) active fleet or event organizers, (b) accomplished sailors and (c) knowledgeable builders and/or sail makers
